ARTIST HUNT SLONEM TO EXHIBIT AT JESSICA HAGEN IN NEWPORT, RI

Jessica Hagen is pleased to welcome back the inimitable American artist Hunt Slonem for his third solo exhibition at her gallery in Newport, RI. Hunt Slonem ELEMENTAL will open on June 26, 2021 and will feature the artist’s colorful, expressionist paintings of bunnies, birds and butterflies, as well as new sculptural pieces in hand blown glass and cast bronze. Hunt Slonem’s work is in over 250 museum collections including the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Whitney Museum of American Art, as well as many illustrious private collections. Hunt Slonem has received extensive media attention: CBS Sunday Morning, The New York TimesArtNews and Architectural Digest have all profiled Mr. Slonem not only for his artwork, but also for his collection of historic homes that he has restored, decorated and filled with works of art. Gallerist Jessica Hagen states, “It’s very exciting to be hosting our third solo show with Hunt Slonem. His talent, creativity and energy are limitless!”

Located in the historic Point section of Newport, Jessica Hagen Fine Art + Design was founded in 2005 and features contemporary American art including painting, sculpture, photography, ceramics, textiles, furniture and jewelry. The gallery features original works of art created by living American artists from throughout the northeast and beyond. Styles range from realism to abstractionism, with a focus on quality, originality and beauty. The gallery’s hours are Wednesday through Friday 11:00- 4:00, Saturday 11:00- 5:00 and Sunday 12:00- 5:00 as well as by appointment.
